Deleting your account and your data

The fastest way is inside the app: open Settings → Account → Delete account. This erases your stored readings, your derived identity, your account record and your local data. It is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you can no longer open the app, use the form below and choose Delete my account and data. Two things make this much faster:

• Write from the email address you signed in with (your Google or Apple sign-in). That is how we verify the request is yours.
• If you never signed in, your account is anonymous — it holds no email address and no name, so there is nothing that lets us connect a message to your records. In that case deletion has to happen in the app. An anonymous account that is never used again is deleted automatically after 24 months of inactivity.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. PRO memberships are billed by Apple or Google and must be cancelled in your store account: on iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Subscriptions. See section 7 of the Terms of Use.

We erase your data from live systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days. You can also ask for a copy of your data instead — see section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
