This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Runic Oracle: Norse Divination (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you (“user,” “you,” or “your”) access or use our mobile application (the “App”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other relevant frameworks.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. This Policy is part of our Terms of Service and incorporated therein by reference.

- Name, surname (if provided via Firebase Authentication)

- Date of birth (if required by Google Play billing regulations or account setup)

- IP address, advertising ID (AdMob)

2.5 Purchase Data
- Purchase history through Google Play Billing
- We do not store credit card or banking details
2.6 Location Data
- Approximate geolocation (derived from device/IP)
2.7 Special Categories of Data
- None intentionally processed. The App does not collect sensitive data (e.g., religion, health, political opinions).
2.8 User Content
- Rune readings, preferences, and saved configurations stored in Firebase.
2.9 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- Cookies: small text files that store information to improve functionality and analytics.
- Pixel tags: transparent images that help measure interactions.
- Do Not Track (DNT): We respect DNT settings enabled in your browser.
3. Purposes of Processing
We process Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: Account authentication, saving readings, managing preferences, and enabling in-app purchases.
- Analytics: Understanding user behavior, improving usability, detecting errors, and enhancing features.
- Advertising: Showing personalized or non-personalized ads via Google AdMob (only with your consent).
- Communication: Sending transactional emails or messages (e.g., account confirmations, password resets).
- Customer Support: Responding to inquiries and resolving technical issues.
- Security: Fraud prevention, log monitoring, and misuse detection.

We process your data under the following legal bases:
- Consent: For personalized ads, Firebase Analytics, and account registration.
- Contractual Necessity: To deliver the App and its features.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your Personal Data. We DO NOT SELL personal information to third parties. We may share your data only with:
- Google Firebase – authentication, analytics, storage.
- Google AdMob – advertising services.
- Google Play Services – payment processing.
- Customer Support Contractors – for resolving issues.
- Authorities: When required by law, court order, or government request.
6. Data Retention
- Account Data (Firebase): Retained until you request deletion.
- Analytics Data: Typically retained up to 14 months.
- Purchase Records: Retained according to applicable tax and legal obligations.
- Logs: Retained temporarily for troubleshooting and security.
After retention expires, data is deleted or anonymized.
7. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored outside your country, including in the United States and EU, where Firebase and AdMob servers are located. We ensure such transfers comply with GDPR using Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access your data and request a copy.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.

- Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect prior lawful processing).

9. Procedure for Requests
To exercise your rights, please send an email to runicoracle.app@gmail.com with the subject line: “Data Protection Request.”
Your request must include:
- Full name
- Registered email address in the App
- Type of request (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, etc.)
- Additional information to verify your identity (e.g., device ID if applicable)
We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request. If processing takes longer due to complexity, you will be notified. In some jurisdictions, a small administrative fee may apply for repeated or excessive requests.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users 16 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If we discover that data was collected from a child, it will be deleted immediately.
11. Security Measures
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Encrypted communications (HTTPS, TLS)
- Controlled data access
- Regular backups and monitoring
- Anonymization of analytical data where possible
The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
